What I've Learned During the Q

As I start my new position tomorrow, I wanted to reflect back on these past weeks. As I start making my way back to a "normal" routine, I've learned a few things during this quarantine that I will take with me.

Take time to call friends and family. It's funny because these phone calls could have easily happened when we were not in quarantine but they just went overlooked.

Never take your job for granted. I wouldn't say that I ever took my job for granted but I definitely spent just about every day waiting for the weekend. I think now I will be grateful for the 5 days a week that I get to go into the office. Don't get me wrong, I will still get excited over a good 3 day weekend, but I never want two months off from work again! (Unless I'm loaded and can shop/travel)

A clean house, lit candle, and open blinds are underrated. My favorite candle scent is marshmallow fireside, white gardenia, or lemon. What's yours?

You can't trust the media. Like you can't trust any side. None of them. It's crazy.

I'm giving up my homebody ways. You know how introverts need time by themselves to recharge? I think I've charged WAYYY too much, I don't want to spend a weekend at home for a while. I'm making a reservation at every restaurant, taking advantage of every pool/beach opportunity, and saying yes to more fun social events. Seriously, I cannot wait to spend a nice cool evening on a restaurant patio enjoying a glass of Prosecco.

Prayer is powerful. Who knew that sitting at home could be so overwhelming. Whenever I felt stress or anxious I stopped what I was doing and prayed. I immediately felt comfort, every time. Some days I stopped and prayed a lot, somedays just once during the day, but I knew that talking with God was helping me get through the unknown of the last few weeks.

I am so excited to finally be getting back to "normal". We have our tasting with our caterer this week, a date planned, and next weekend is my bachelorette party!
